Exkurze (BE): Zoo Antwerpen (červenec 2008)

Popis

Najít v Antwerpách zoo je s autem kumšt, protože celé centrum je obšancované objížďkami (viz galerie "Západní Evropa") a samotná zoo leží (bohužel) přímo v historickém jádru města. Některé expozice jsou pěkné a moderní, jiné jsou staré. Pavilony stojí po architektonické stránce za vidění, protože se zde odráží hodně muslimská kultura, která dodává zoo svébytnou atmosféru. Mají skvělou sbírku vzácných zvířat - žirafa kordofánská, čtyři okapi, mořskou vydru, velmi širokou sbírku vzácných ptáků a dnes už pouze jednu jedinou gorilu, o které přesně neví, jestli je to gorila východní nebo její kříženec s gorilou horskou.. Nechte se insipirovat a vstupte do galerie ;-)

It is very complicated to find the zoo in Antwerpen by the car because all the city center is limitted by diferent traffic diversions (see the gallery “Western Europe”) and the zoo lays unfortunately in the historical heart of the city. Some expositions are nice and modern, the others are very ancient. The pavilions have a very interesting architecture with the influence of the islam culture. They have the excellent collection of the rare species – West African Giraffe, Four Okapies, Sea Otter, very big collection of the rare birds and currently the only gorilla about which nobody knows if this animal is the Eastern Lowland Gorilla or its hybrid with the Mountain Gorilla.
