Popis

Když jsem se byl po letech podívat v zoo v Jihlavě, musel jsem zkonstatovat, že za těch asi 15 let, co jsem tam nebyl, se zas tak moc nezměnilo, což je škoda. Vyrostla jim sice velmi pěkná africká vesnice, avšak mnoho expozic pokulhává. Opravit je zapotřebí zejména výběh malajských medvědů, expozičně se mi nelíbil výběh hrošíků libérijských. Ze zajímavých druhů sázejí na drápkaté opičky a lemury, které úspěšně množí a určitě musím zmínit velmi kontaktní babirusy celebeské.

When I visited the Zoo Jihlava, I had to say that not so much changed during the last 15 years – and that´s a little bit pitty because this zoo was considered as one of the most progressive in the Czech republic. They have built a very nice african village but a lot of out-of-dated expositons still maintains. They need to reconstruct the Malayan Sun Bear exposition, I also did not like the Pygmy Hippo exposition. The most interesting species are the small Callitrichinae monkeys and the lemurs which they breed with the success. I also have to mention very friendly Babirusas.
