Popis

Zoo Dortmund je mezi nemeckymi zoologickymi zahradami prumerna. Maji nekolik velmi vzacnych zvirecich druhu, většina expozic je starších. Z lepsich pavilonu lze zminit kombinovany pavilon lidoopu a tapiru a dale pavilon vyder. V dobe navstevy byla zavrena expozice amazonskeho pralesa.

In the all german zoos I have seen, Zoo Dortmund is very average. They have some very rare animal species (Angolan Giraffe, Giant Otter, Abyssinian-ground Hornbill, Mountain Caracara…) but the design of some enclosures is little bit ancient. Of the modern ones I have to mention the combined pavilion of the orangutans and Malayan tapires and also the otter pavilion. In the time of my visit the amazon forest exposition was closed.
